Web Host HostGator Launches cPanel Backup Service

Web hosting provider HostGator (www.hostgator.com) public backup service that lets anyone hosting their websites using the cPanel control panel to be able to automatically backup their websites, databases, emails, and cPanel configuration settings by simply providing their cPanel login details.
According to HostGator's Wednesday announcement, the new SiteAutoBackup.com (www.siteautobackup.com) backup service is not open just to HostGator customers -- but to the general public. The cPanel and WHM software package is used the world over by web hosts and their customers. Already offering easy-to-use, powerful tools that perform essential tasks quickly, easily, and reliably, cPanel users can now enjoy automated backups by simply providing their login details.
With plans starting at $1.95 per month for a 1GB account, SiteAutoBackup.com users are charged at the end of monthly periods as to avoid unnecessary upfront costs. Additional disk space is available for as low as $1 per additional 1GB.
HostGator, in turn, provides full cPanel backups including all files, databases, emails, logs, and cPanel configuration settings. By default, SiteAutoBackup.com backups run daily, but users can define a custom schedule.
SiteAutoBackup.com backup data is securely stored within servers at its Texas data center space, run by its exclusive data center and network provider The Planet (www.theplanet.com). HostGator has servers in four of The Planet's Dallas-area data centers, which provide top-of-the-line technology ensuring that servers stay cool, secure, and up at all times. The facilities feature redundant power, HVAC, and fire detection systems, and are monitored 24/7 by both HostGator and The Planet's Network Operation Centers.
